I Scream, You Scream

Today we went to the Edvard Munch Museum. Munch is most known for his painting The Scream.

There are several iterations of the famous "Scream," and only one was here. It wasn't the most impressive one (which was disappointing), but I'm glad there was at least one there.

The museum wasn't big, but that was good for us (toddlers and art museums are not a great pair). There were some great paintings there. I really enjoyed it.

They had a fun activity booklet for the kids. There were stickers of different paintings throughout the museum, and the kids had to find the right sticker to put in each room of the museum. We've found Oslo very kid-friendly; most of the museums we've been to have had great kids activities!

Jasper Johns was also featured in the museum as a special exhibit.

Edvard Munch was an Oslo native, and The Scream was inspired as he walked along the Oslofjord at sunset. So it was pretty cool to view his work here in his hometown.

This one is Jasper Johns. It had an O'Hara poem written on it, which I loved.

This was one of my favorites, called "Starry Night"

One week left in Norway! Our friends the Rosebroughs come in on Thursday, so this last bit is going to fly by, I'm sure. Screamin' good times to come!
