Today we descended below the earth to the Cuevas del Drach, the Dragon Caves! Levi J and I have been really excited to come here!

It was so nice and *warm* in the cave, hooray! I told the kids it was the dragon's fire that kept the cave warm. 😄 My camera lens fogged up right away, ha!
Foggy lens! |
I read people complaining online about the crowds here, but it was very quiet today. We're enjoying being here on off-season!

At the bottom was an underground lake. They had us all sit, then turned out all the lights. Suddenly, lighted boats rowed through the lake with a classical music group playing us a live concert! Afterwards, we got to ride on a gondola through the cave. Amazing.
It was such a neat experience!
Afterwards we stopped in town, which must be a lovely beach when it's warm. Almost everything was closed up (well, it was early, too); you didn't even have to pay the parking meters in the winter.

The weather is warming up slowly! But we are finding plenty to do even in the cold.
